Join us for this comprehensive webinar that examines the growing trend of podium construction across the United States, providing insurance professionals with essential knowledge about this hybrid building method. Participants will gain insight into the fundamental characteristics of podium construction, understand why developers are increasingly choosing this approach, and explore the significant property engineering concerns and risk exposures associated with these structures. The session will incorporate real-world loss data from national news sources and documented incidents to illustrate key concepts and reinforce critical learning points throughout the presentation.

Key Audience Takeaways:

  • Master podium construction fundamentals by understanding defining characteristics, cost advantages, zoning benefits, and how this method differs from traditional approaches nationwide.
  • Assess critical engineering risks by identifying structural vulnerabilities, fire propagation concerns, and learning from documented losses and incidents in podium construction.
  • Implement practical risk management by developing evaluation approaches, establishing key inspection protocols, and creating effective policy considerations for podium construction exposures.
