Learn2Lead Workshop: Project Leadership/Conflict Management

Successful project managers must be adept at building trust, negotiating win-win outcomes, encouraging productivity, and resolving conflict among project team members. In addition, identifying individual values and boundaries, establishing clear decision-making protocols, and using appropriate decision-making strategies are all project leadership requirements within the project team. This interactive program covers the art of leadership in the project team and provides participants with the skills and tools needed to develop their own leadership style.

 
WHAT THIS PROGRAM WILL COVER

WEEK 1

When Shift Happens: How to Lead Project Teams Through Competing Priorities
Change is constant and it impacts the way we work together. This section will
explore the evolving role of the project leader and how the right leadership
approach can help a teamwork with competing priorities.

WEEK 2

We need to talk: How to Mindfully Resolve Conflicts Using Emotional Intelligence
Conflict can mean different things to different individuals. Contrary to popular
opinion, conflict is also the birthplace of learning, growing, and adapting to change.
This section will explore how to navigate conflicts both with our selves, and with
others, as a leader. From there, we will utilize emotional intelligence to sharpen our
conflict management skills.

WEEK 3

Together, we are stronger: How Project Leaders Can Drive Inclusion at Work
IQ drives skills, EQ drives culture. Project Leaders have a unique way of impacting
the culture of the workplace because of how they work with cross functional teams.
This section will explore the barriers to inclusion and share insights on how a
culture of inclusion can be co-created.

Judy Sebastian, Founder of Apex Global Consultants (Portland, OR)
and Senior Advisor to Apex Food Consultants (Dubai), specializes in
public health and organizational culture. Her work primarily focuses
on helping leaders transform their workplace culture, one step at a
time.

As an international speaker, instructor, and program designer, she has
supported the professional development needs of brands such as
Nestle, Nike, Providence, Portland State University, Michigan State
University, Huda Beauty, Hilton Group, Dubai Municipality, The Ritz-
Carlton, GATE College (Nepal), and Emirates.
She speaks seven languages and harnesses the power of storytelling
to share her global experiences with the audience. She strives to
create learning experiences that help individuals to not only connect
with one another, but also to leave the room feeling energized and
inspired to create a positive impact.
Judy holds an MS in Industrial Biotechnology (Dr. G. R. D. College of
Science, India), a BS in Industrial Biotechnology (Manipal University,
Dubai) and a certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell
University.
