2020 In2Risk Student Engagement Program Scholarship
Eligibility*:
Be a full-time sophomore entering your junior year or a junior entering your senior year; enrolled in an accredited college or university; and majoring in insurance, risk management, actuarial science, or related program of study
Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
Display continued excitement and commitment to entering the insurance industry and completing your CPCU designation
Must be able to commit to attending the full event (October 8-10)
*Applicants will be evaluated based on demonstrated academic excellence, interest in sharing risk and insurance industry opportunities with peers, and commitment to pursuing their CPCU designation.
Other Criteria:
A maximum of thirty students will be accepted to receive a scholarship to attend In2Risk
Students sponsored by a school or employer do not count towards this maximum
No more than two students from the same academic institution can receive a scholarship in a given year
Additional students from the same academic institution may participate at In2Risk if they are sponsored by
the
institution or a local chapter
Students who received a scholarship to attend last
year’s
conference in New Orleans are not eligible
Graduate students pursuing a higher degree are not eligible
Part-time students supported by an employer are not eligible

Personal statement in a word document addressing the following:
What knowledge or skills do you hope to gain by attending In2Risk?
How will you take what you learn from In2Risk and apply it to your studies?
What ways can you share this knowledge with your peers?
Résumé detailing coursework and/or experience in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science
Scholarship Application Timeline:
May 15: Deadline for applications
May 29: Notice of scholarship status
October 8-10: Participation in the 2020 In2Risk Student Program
Student Engagement Competition:
Students selected for the In2Risk Student Engagement Program Scholarship will have the opportunity to participate in an on- site competition at In2Risk. Finalists will compete for cash prizes up to $1,500. Additional competition details will be sent to recipients upon selection.
