CPCU Society members are passionate about their work. Some call this "geeking out" or being an "insurance nerd." What are YOU trying to get better at?
My current role is mediation of workers compensation disputes. I'm focused on providing the best customer service experience. I've learned that being empathetic, exploring all options, and clear communication is key.
Tell us about something else you’re passionate about.
I'm passionate about travel and exposing my children to different lifestyles, cultures, and experiences. I also enjoy being outdoors either camping, hiking, or mountain biking. My goal is to visit a national park in every state we visit. We recently hiked at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
What do you wish everybody knew about the CPCU Society?
All the benefits: we have access to educational resources such as Insights, webinars, conferences, and volunteer opportunities.
In addition to networking, you have an opportunity to build relationships that can benefit you on a personal and professional level.
I also wish all CPCUs volunteered either at the local or Society level. I began my volunteer journey in 2015 as a newsletter publisher and then served as the President of my local chapter for two years.
