Lately I’ve been focused on courageous conversations involving equity, sense of belonging, inclusion, and diversity. There have been some great discussions on INteract as well as webinars and articles being developed by the Society.
Tell us about something else you’re passionate about.
When I think about my passion, I answer with my why! Why am I here, what is my true purpose? My why is leave the world in a better place than I found it by helping others through teaching. I have spent years researching and studying the leader-follower relationship.
Anything else you'd like others to know about you?
Having served as an Emergency Medical Technician since 1999 and as a swim instructor before that, I have always been motivated to help others. I have a relentless thirst for knowledge and for applying that knowledge in real world situations to improve the lives of others.
The greatest recognition I have ever received in my life has been when I get a call, email, or brief note from a mentee saying, “I’ve done it!” Their success is my success.
What do you wish everybody knew about the CPCU Society?
The Society is a superlative group of industry leaders that transcends titles from all specialties and backgrounds. Many, inside and outside of the industry, immediately recognize the CPCU designation as a reflection of the rigorous learning and openness to help others that the holder has undertaken as a supreme responsibility.
Society membership is more than just networking with some of the greatest minds in the industry, it’s also collectively seeking opportunities to keep our industry thriving for years to come.
