Baltimore's Key Bridge: Insurance Impact

About
On March 26, 2024, a container ship struck the Key Bridge in Baltimore, MD, which collapsed into the Patapsco River, killing six workers. Considering the tragic loss of life, along with the bridge’s role as a major thoroughfare and the impact on the port of Baltimore, the losses are significant. Recovery will be time-consuming and costly, with many parties involved. In this webinar, editors Karen Sorrell, CPCU and Christine Barlow, CPCU from FC&S Expert Coverage Interpretation will discuss the insurance implications of the bridge collapse and the suspension of the port. Steven Weiss, chief underwriting officer at Incarnation, LLC, will discuss the marine aspects and ramifications for the industry. For more information, check out presenter Karen Sorrell's recent article,“7 commercial insurance exposures from the Baltimore bridge collapse.”
