Quad City CPCU Society Chapter Announces Scholarship Program Winners

The Quad City CPCU Society Chapter has announced the winners of its sixth annual scholarship program. The scholarship program was started as a means of increasing member involvement in the local chapter. The scholarship program is open to children and grandchildren of chapter members, who serve as their sponsor. Scholarship applicants were required to submit an essay along with a letter of support from their sponsor. Applicants could select from four different essay topics.

“In addition to the financial benefit of the scholarship, we want to nurture young adults so they think about ethics and diversity throughout their studies and beyond," said Julie Schocker, CPCU, past president of the Quad City CPCU Society Chapter and Scholarship Committee member. "The chapter also benefits from the scholarship program because sponsors' participation in the chapter is a factor in the scoring.”
