This workshop is presented by the Valley Forge CPCU Society Chapter.

AM Course: Professional Liability: Identifying and Treating the Exposures

This course will highlight professionals who face a higher standard of care in serving their customers and discuss sources of liability and possible defenses. It will also detail professional liability policies and identify common characteristics of such policies.

PM Course: Hidden Coverages - Surprises in Court

This course will provide examples of how courts have interpreted insurance coverages leading to unexpected outcomes. The true insurance and risk management professional will know how court decisions can differ from the underwriter’s intent!


State CE and CE for CPCUs Information
This workshop has been filed for the following continuing education (CE) credits:

State CE
Four CE credits in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware (AM or PM course only) OR
Eight CE credits in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware (full day)

CE for CPCUs
CPCU Society members who attend will be awarded 
four (AM or PM only) or eight (full day) CE for CPCUs credits.

Cancellation Policy
Registrants who need to cancel and do so at least two weeks in advance will not be charged. Those who cancel less than two weeks before the program will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.

R. Bryan Tilden

R. Bryan Tilden, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, founded Tilden and Associates, where he works as a lecturer and an expert witness in the field of insurance. Tilden started his insurance career in 1974 as an account executive and has worked for major brokerage firms on Fortune 100 accounts throughout the United States. He most recently served as director of technical affairs and director of education for the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC).

Tilden is a national faculty member for the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors and has served as a grading panel member for The Institutes. He has taught in every state and in Europe; has worked with the state of North Carolina on prelicensing and continuing education; and has spoken at Risk and Insurance Management Society and CPCU Society meetings, among other industry conventions. In addition, Tilden teaches arson investigation courses, is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, and is an internationally certified technical rescue instructor. He holds the CPCU, CLU, ChFC, ARM, ALCM, CIC, and SCLA designations.
