We will review the coverage and values commenting on the impact at the time of a loss. At the conclusion of this webinar, the active participant will understand: the basics of  business interruption insurance and the need to understand your coverage and the way values should be reported, why it is important to have critical business facts about enterprise income, revenue forecasts, and the different ways the enterprise can be affected by outages, and how to ensure that your client (if agent / broker) or your firm (if risk manager) has the proper business income /interruption coverage, key planning to minimize recovery losses, and understanding of overall impact possible from specific type of incidents.

Jeff Phillips is a Managing Director with EY and has spent over 30 years assisting clients with large property damage and business interruption insurance claims. Jeff spent over ten years with a large commercial property insurance company in various positions, including eight years as a claims adjuster.  Jeff now utilizes this comprehensive understanding of insurance claims to assist clients to achieve financial recovery from disasters through commercial insurance and FEMA’s Public Assistance program. This includes developing strategies for risk evaluation, resolution of complex coverage and loss measurement issues, as well as dispute settlement.

Mickey Brown is a Client Executive with Marsh since 2001 and brings 30+ years of international business experience with Manufacturing, Technology, Construction, Financial Services, and other industries.  Mickey ensures that clients’ risk management needs are addressed in a professional and proactive manner.  Alexander & Alexander Services (A&AS) and Aon Risk Services employed Mickey in Baltimore, New York, and Atlanta from 1987 to 2001.  Prior to entering the brokerage and consulting side of business in 1996, he worked in International Corporate Finance, holding positions of Senior Auditor and Practice Leader for Quality Assurance.  In this capacity, he performed operational and financial reviews for A&AS, a worldwide insurance services organization that merged with Aon.  In addition, he managed due diligence projects for international acquisitions.
