Britton Van Dalen
Britt is a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP and serves as the U.S. Underwriting Transformation Leader in the insurance practice. He brings over 20 years of experience in the Property & Casualty, Life & Annuity and Insurance Brokerage Sub-Sectors. Within the underwriting function, Britt specializes in automation and process design, predictive model business implementation and rules development, development of the underwriting workbench and the underwriting future of work.
Kelly Cusick
Kelly is a managing director in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Actuarial & Insurance Solutions practice, focused on the innovation of underwriting and product management capabilities in the property and casualty insurance marketplace. As an actuary with experience across a variety of commercial and specialty lines of business, she works with clients to develop and implement competitive strategies for insurance product management and underwriting, leveraging emerging technologies and data sources, analytical decision-making approaches, and improved business processes.
Sam Friedman
Sam Friedman is Insurance Research Leader at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services in New York, where he examines major challenges facing the insurance industry and identifies ways to overcome them. Before joining Deloitte in 2010, Sam was the long-time Editor-in-Chief of National Underwriter. His most recent research has spotlighted trends in auto and homeowners insurance innovation, InsurTech investment, privacy management, cyber and climate risk, and underwriting transformation.
Nikhil Gokahle
Nikhil is a research specialist at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services where he covers the insurance sector. He focuses on strategic and performance issues facing life, annuity, property, and casualty insurance companies. Prior to joining Deloitte, he worked as a managing consultant on strategic projects relating to post-merger integration, operational excellence, and market intelligence.
