What is something you wish everybody knew about the CPCU Society?
The educational opportunities, especially the free webinars. All too often individuals only look at what it is costing them in terms of study materials, exams, etc. They forget to see the benefit that can be achieved in their easy chair or their laptop!
CPCU Society members are passionate about their work. Some call this “geeking out” or being an “insurance nerd.” What have YOU been trying to get better at recently, and what was helpful to you?
As a Commercial Lines Training Specialist, I try to keep those I am training engaged. What has been helpful to me is reviewing the Society’s educational materials for relevant information to share about our industry.
Some people think there’s more to life than insurance and risk management. If you agree, tell us about something else you’re passionate about.
I don’t do this often enough, but I like to cook and try new foods.
Looking back on your work, is there any one thing that stands out the most that you are proud to have accomplished?
I find it very rewarding that our industry, regardless of the discipline industry employees are involved/engaged in, allows us to help businesses/individuals protect what is most important to them.
