1. Fill out an Application for CPCU Society Service (doc).

2. Submit the Member Interest and Skills Profile so that you can be best matched to volunteer opportunities.

CPCU Society Vice President
CPCUs may apply for the position of Society vice president, moving automatically to the positions of president-elect, president and chairman/chairwoman, and immediate past president and chairman/chairwoman, for a total commitment of four years. Desired experience for vice president includes leadership roles in chapters and/or interest groups, and CPCU Society committee or task force work. Demonstrated leadership experience in business, professional, or nonprofit organizations is also required. If nominated, the applicant is expected to be highly visible, represent the Society at various public functions, and attend all required meetings.

CPCU Society Director
The individual in this position addresses CPCU Society concerns. Attendance at all CPCU Society Board meetings is required. Demonstrated leadership experience in business, professional, or nonprofit organizations, and local chapter or CPCU Society committee/task force is suggested. Directors serve three-year terms.

Standing Committees and Interest Group Committees
CPCUs should submit an Application for CPCU Society Service if interested in serving a three-year term as a member or chair of one of the standing committees—Budget & Finance, Diversity, Ethics, or Nominating—or one of the 14 interest group committees—Agent & Broker; Claims; Consulting Litigation, & Expert Witness; Information Technology; International Insurance; Leadership & Managerial Excellence; Loss Control; Personal Lines; Regulatory & Legislative; Reinsurance; Risk Management; Senior Resource; and Underwriting. Interest Group committee projects are centered on common issues affecting their interest groups and include seminars, symposia, publications, newsletters, and research.

Task Forces
As the Board identifies projects to advance the Society's strategic objectives, it will create and populate task forces as necessary. CPCUs are invited to submit an Application for CPCU Society Service to be considered for service on a task force. Task force members generally serve six to 18 months.
