Street-Level Ethics Workshop

The American Institute for CPCU worked with Chris Amrhein, AAI, to develop the "Street-Level Ethics Workshop" for Chapters to use for their ethics awareness program. The purpose of the workshop is to enable a presenter to conduct an effective one or two-hour session on ethics in the property-casualty insurance business at the chapter level.

Resources
The workshop is divided into three segments: Facilitator Guidelines (doc), the “Street-Level” ethics outline (doc), and eight ethics case studies (doc). The eight detailed, practical case studies are relevant to agents, underwriters, and claims adjusters. Here are six new case studies (doc) for 2005.

We are pleased to provide you with a link to the electronic version of the "Street-Level Ethics Workshop" PowerPoint presentation, which makes it easier than ever for all chapters to facilitate a program on ethics. These materials make it easy to present a fast-paced, enlightening ethics awareness program to your chapter in March, and perhaps at other times during the year.

If you have not already presented this workshop, please take advantage of this quality program!

In addition, a copy of “The Canons and Rules of the Code of Professional Ethics of the American Institute for CPCU” (pdf) is included for your information.
