Continuing Professional Development Program for CPCUs
CPCUs will be awarded four (4) continuing professional development (CPD) points for each workshop.


What's It About?
This workshop will discuss what Business Interruption Insurance (BI) is all about and how the insurance professional can utilize this knowledge with their clients. The workshop will review the risk exposures creating these coverage issues, the type of client that might have these risk exposures, standard coverages for these exposures, endorsements that will create better coverages for these exposures.

Instructor
Mary King Barbieri, CPCU, ASLI, ARM, is currently an independent insurance consultant and trainer, having retired from the “traditional” insurance arena. She has more than 30 years of insurance experience, having worked at insurance carriers, brokers, consultants, and the surplus lines market. Barbieri earned the CPCU designation in 1982, and served as president of the CPCU Society’s Orange Empire and the Los Angeles chapters; and on the CPCU Society Board of Directors. In 2006 she received the coveted Rie R. Sharp Insurance Person of the Year award, presented by three Los Angeles-area chapters. Barbieri earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Education from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
