Webinar FAQs

NEWI registered for a webinar with the CPCU Society and received my confirmation e-mail. Why am I receiving a separate e-mail with the subject line “Thank You For Your Registration” asking me to register again. Didn’t I already do this?
All CPCU Society webinars require you to register with WebEx in order for you to receive all necessary log-in information for the day of the webinar, as well as any event material associated with the webinar. You will not be billed for registering with WebEx.

Where can I find the Event Number for a webinar?
The Event Number can be found in the Registration Approval e-mail under the Date and Time of the webinar. The Event Number is used when you are not able to hear audio via Audio Broadcast (audio via your computer speakers). After dialing into the webinar, (866) 699-3239, you will be asked to enter the Event Number.

Can I download handout material before the day of the webinar?
Yes. If handout material is available before the day of a webinar, when you register with WebEx you will be able to download any handouts associated with the webinar. Once you receive your Registration Approval e-mail, scroll down below “To join the online event”. There you will see a link to “View more information about the event”. From there, you can download all associated handouts. If there is no link under “To join the online event”, you will receive a separate e-mail which you will be able to download handout material from.

NEWWhere can I find the Event Password? I am asked to enter one when I join the webinar, and when I go to download Event Material.
The Event Password is found in the Registration Approval e-mail under the Event Number.

If I was sent a link to the recording of a webinar, do I need to download anything?
No. If you have the link to a WebEx recording, simply click it to stream and view.

NEWAre CPCU Society webinars available after they have been presented?
Starting Dec. 1, 2009 CPCU Society webinars will be available for on-demand purchasing. Please contact our Member Resource Center at (800) 932-CPCU, option 4 to order. Check out our new on-demand page!

NEWI registered and paid for a CPCU Society webinar, but at the last minute I was unable to attend. What do I do?
If you have registered and paid for a CPCU Society webinar, you will receive a recording of the presentation that you missed.
