Where to Stay
The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel is the designated hotel for the 2009 Annual Meeting and Seminars. Most Society meetings will be held at the Colorado Convention Center.

Located on the 16th Street Mall in the heart of downtown Denver, the hotel is near shopping and restaurants, and within walking distance of the Denver Art Museum and the Colorado State Capitol Building. Amenities include a complimentary health club, an outdoor all-season heated pool, and wireless Internet access in the hotel’s lobby.

Reservation Information
The Sheraton is offering special group rates for Annual Meeting and Seminar attendees. To take advantage of the Society’s special group rates, you must make your hotel reservations through ConferenceDirect, our official housing agent. The rate for a single or double guest room is $99, plus 14.85 percent state and local taxes.

In order to take advantage of the CPCU Society’s discounted rates, be sure to make your reservation by Monday, Aug. 3, 2009. If you are using a check to guarantee your reservation, ConferenceDirect must receive your check no later than Monday, July 20, 2009.

After Aug. 3, please contact the Sheraton directly at (303) 893-3333 for new reservations or to change or cancel current reservations.

Cancellation Policy for Hotel Reservations
All cancellations are subject to a $30 processing fee. Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to avoid the first night’s room and tax cancellation fee.

To make your hotel reservations:

• If you complete your registration online, you will be able to make your hotel reservations at the same time.

• If you choose to mail or fax your meeting registration to the Society, please make your hotel reservations separately, following the instructions on the registration form.

Transportation

Traveling from the Airport
The Sheraton is located 24 miles from the Denver International Airport. The airport’s Ground Transportation Information Counter is located on Level 5 of Jeppesen Terminal.

Taxicabs: Estimated taxi fare from the airport is approximately $50 to $55, one way.

Rental cars: The airport has contracted with 11 rental car companies: Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E-Z, Hertz, National, Payless and Thrifty.

Shuttle service: Super Shuttle offers airport shuttle service for $19 per person, one way, or $34 roundtrip if fare is prepaid. For details, call (303) 370-1300.
