Vermont
Chapter Wins Award
Congratulations to the Vermont Chapter, which won the Society’s 2008
Ethics Awareness Award for its creativity in celebrating Ethics Awareness
Month in March. The chapter received the award and a $100 check on April
4 at the Leadership Summit. See photo of award presentation.
The chapter had invited Art
Cohn, an elite diver and historian, to give a presentation on
ethics in history. Cohn emphasized that dealing with ethical questions
is often difficult because people may disagree on what is proper
behavior in a given set of circumstances. He drew upon his experiences
in underwater archeology, in which there may be disagreement over
what to do with artifacts. |
