What You’ll Learn
This course
focuses on participant interaction to learn how to communicate more effectively
with others. The goal of the course is to equip attendees to communicate
vision, mission, and new initiatives effectively throughout the organization
by understanding their audience. In this session, participants will discuss
different communication styles, and practice face-to-face communication,
and discuss the nuances of communication with clients, colleagues, and superiors.
At the conclusion,
participants should be able to:

Understand the different styles of communication and practice communicating
with the other styles.

Learn how to increase effectiveness by improving communication with
others.

Understand how to communicate effectively in the electronic age.

Instructor
Jill Haynes
Gidge, CPCU, CIC, CPIW, AAI, AAM, AIT, AIS, ACSR, RN,
is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
She served as vice president and secretary of Gidge Insurance Services,
Inc., for more than 15 years. She has served as a regional vice president
for NAIW, and is currently a CPCU Society governor. She was
national Insurance Professional of the Year for NAIW in 1997, and has
received other awards and recognition for service and excellence in
insurance. She is currently an independent insurance education consultant,
trainer, and keynote speaker through her own company, Insure-Ed, which
she founded in 1996.
