Champions Recruiting Contest Rules
2007-2008 Champion Recruiting Contest Rules
Goals of the Contest:
- To expand the coverage of the Champions initiative to organizations currently without a Champion.
- To increase the number of Champions at CPCU employers.
Background:
There are almost 300 CPCU employers without a Champion, at either the parent company or at any related subsidiary. While many of these companies are smaller, and have few CPCU Society members, some employ over 100 CPCUs and have almost as many Society members. An analysis of these employers without Champions indicates a broad coverage of the United States, with a geographic distribution similar to the overall industry.
In order for the Champion initiative to be truly effective, the Society needs to have maximum possible Champion coverage of all CPCU employers.
Contest:
Chapters will be awarded points based on the number of new Champions they recruit, with bonus points for recruits employed by the almost 300 organizations without Champions. The chapters with the highest point totals will receive monetary awards, and recognition at the 2008 Annual Meeting. The Champion lists submitted with the 2007-2008 Circle of Excellence submissions will be used to judge this contest. Any new Champions identified at any time during the 2007-2008 Circle of Excellence cycle will be eligible, except as noted below.
Contest Rules:
- Champions identified at the almost 300 organizations without Champions will be worth five (5) points each, and new Champions, not employed by one of the almost 300 organizations without Champions, will be worth one (1) point each.
- State Farm employees will not be eligible (at the employer's request).
- “New” means the recruit's name and employer were not included in the Champion list posted on the web site as of the close of the 2006-2007 Circle of Excellence program.
- Four prizes in total will be awarded. First and second place winners will be selected from the jumbo or large chapters, and first and second place winners will be named from the medium or small chapters. First and second place rankings will be based on the highest total points earned. Only chapters will be eligible to win.
- First prize is a check for $300, payable to the chapter. Second prize is a check for $150.
