Volunteer Leader Best Practices:
Leadership Characteristics and Choices

Friday, April 4   
Saturday, April 5  

9 a.m. – Noon
1 – 4 p.m.

     

Participants will examine leadership characteristics and the choices that leaders make. This session is designed for volunteer leaders who are charged with the responsibility of fostering candidate development, visibility, diversity, and inclusiveness. Attendees will participate in stimulating educational exercises to increase their capacity to absorb new skill sets.


Instructor:
Cindy Baroway, CPCU, AIC,
has been self-employed as an insurance consultant/expert witness for the past four years after working on the corporate side of insurance for more than 16 years. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the Community College of Aurora teaching AIC and CPCU courses. Baroway received her CPCU designation in 1998 and immediately got involved with the Colorado Chapter and the national Society, serving as secretary, vice president of operations, public relations chairman, I-Day Committee chairman, and is currently president-elect for her local chapter. On the national level, she served as the Western Region New Designee Representative and has been a master facilitator for the Facilitative Leadership Skills Workshop. Cindy is currently working on a master’s of education degree at Regis University.
