New Designee Task Force Outreach Initiative

In an earlier issue we introduced you to the 2010 New Designee Task Force. Task Force members are in the process of contacting chapters to offer assistance and solicit your ideas on how to make the orientation period for new designees most effective. Together they hope to assure that as many new designees as possible attend the Annual Meeting and Seminars in Orlando, attend your local conferment, get active in your chapter activities and ultimately join the Society as full-fledged members. Watch for a contact by a member of the 2010 New Designee Task Force.

You can also meet task force members in the New Designee Open House in Orlando on Sunday, Sept. 26 and Monday, Sept. 27. All chapter leaders and new designees are encouraged to attend the Open House to meet and congratulate new designees.

A key initiative of the New Designee Task Force is to encourage all chapters to have an active New Designee Committee. If your chapter has not already assigned a new designee chair, please do so soon. Attached are template job descriptions for three critical membership-oriented committees in your chapter and how they can work together — New Designee Chair, Candidate Development Chair and Membership Chair.
