Major Prize Winners Announced

More than a dozen prizes were awarded during the Society Expo Mid-Day Reception, Finale, and Prize Drawings on September 10, including prizes from company sponsors, the 2007 and 2008 host chapters, and exhibitors. In addition, three prizes were awarded after the Annual Business Meeting, also on September 10.

Among the prize winners announced at the Society Expo Mid-Day Reception:

• Sally Ann Krauss, CPCU, of the Allegheny Chapter, won the Society Expo Grand Prize—a Bose Acoustic Wave® Music System II with Multi-CD Changer and Carrying Case, sponsored by ACORD.

• Douglas J. Gant, CPCU, of the Sacramento Valley Chapter, won the Booth Buster Prize—a Dell laptop computer—from National Underwriter.

• Kathryn E. Jones, CPCU, of the Atlanta Chapter, won a Nikon digital camera package in the Society Expo Prize drawing, sponsored by State Auto Insurance Companies.

• Robin L. Fraser, CPCU, of the San Diego Chapter, and Richard S. Vasil, CPCU, of the Central Indiana Chapter, won the New Designee Prizes from State Farm Insurance Companies. Each received $300 in American Express Gift Cheques.

• Carol G. Blough, CPCU, CLU, of the Golden Gate Chapter, won the CPCU Society National Leadership Institute Prize—one free NLI course at the 2008 Leadership Summit, April 2-5, in Orlando, FL.

• Deborah Bouchard, CPCU, of the New Jersey Chapter, won the Hawaii Chapter's 2007 Host Chapter Grand Prize—a $500 gift card to Ala Moana Shopping Center and Ward Center.

• Melissa D. Martinez, CPCU, of the Central Illinois Chapter, won the Philadelphia Tourist Prize Package from the Philadelphia Chapter, host chapter for the 2008 Annual Meeting and Seminars. The package includes admission to three popular attractions.

Following the "Ethics: A Leadership Perspective" panel, James L. Britt, CPCU, 2007-2008 Society president, drew the names of three prize winners:

• Phillip H. Reeves, CPCU, of the Piedmont North Carolina Chapter, won the General Session Grand Prize, a TomTom GO 910 Plug and Play GPS Navigation System.

• Francois R. Dumontet, CPCU, of the Central Jersey Chapter; and Joseph M. McNasby, CPCU, of the Colorado and Philadelphia Chapters, each won one free registration to the 64th Annual Meeting and Seminars, September 6-9, 2008, in Philadelphia, PA.
