Each year, The Institutes CPCU Society awards one member from outside North America with a paid trip to our Annual Meeting through the International Ambassador Program. This year's winning applicant will receive:
- Complimentary registration to The Institutes CPCU Society 2017 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, from September 16 through 19
- Reimbursement for up to $4,000 of travel expenses
- Acknowledgement at the 2017 Annual Meeting and recognition through a press release
To be eligible to enter, you must:
- Reside outside of the United States and Canada
- Be a dues-paying member of the CPCU Society
- Be unsupported financially by your employer for Annual Meeting travel expenses
- Not be a CPCU Society chapter officer (president or other position)

Frank Wang Min, J.M., CPCU, RPLU
Frank Wang Min is a liability specialist and treaty underwriter for Gen Re's Asia Pacific Treaty Department based in Shanghai, China. He is responsible for developing and underwriting liability treaty portfolios and serves as key adviser on liability insurance, liability reinsurance and other liability-related industry issues. He holds the CPCU, RPLU, ARe, and ANZIIF CIP designations, as well as a Juris Master degree. He is also a qualified lawyer in China.

International Ambassador Program Judges
Anthony Fienberg was one of the founders, the inaugural president and currently a director of the European chapter of the CPCU Society. He has 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience, spread over several continents and functions including underwriting, management, operations and consulting. A long-time specialist in Directors & Officers and Financial Lines, Anthony's expertise has moved onto the Consumer Affinity area, where he is currently a partner in a series of insurance intermediaries, a TPA and a consulting company. He earned his CPCU in 1996, holds the ARe, RPLU and ARM designations, as well as being a past chairman of the CPCU Society’s International Insurance Interest Group.
Elaine George has 15 years of underwriting experience, including stints with Patriot Insurance and USLI. Currently, she is a Multinational Underwriting Manager at Chubb. Elaine is a past member of the CPCU Society’s Leadership Council, Secretary and past Chairman of the International Insurance Interest Group (3iG) and a member of the Europe Chapter.
Tony recently co-founded Certified Sustainable Insurance Partners (CSIP), a non-profit organization, focused on independent certification of sustainable insurance and reinsurance products and services for the insurance sector and their customers. Tony has over 35 years of insurance sector experience including his role as Chief Executive Officer for ArgoGlobal’s European operations and Director of Product Development for EMEA for the Argo Group prior to the founding of CSIP. Key responsibilities of the dual CEO/Product Development role included implementation of Group underwriting strategy and embedding the culture to support innovators with a comprehensive system of insurance product development that assured that good ideas got to market. Tony is a longtime member of the CPCU Society’s International Insurance Interest Group and a founding member of the CPCU Society’s Europe Chapter. He is fluent in English and Italian and is an active member of the Italian Academic Risk Management Association and a has been a regular guest lecturer at the University of Verona’s Masters in Risk Management program. Tony represented both XL Catlin and the Argo Group within the UNEP Fl lnsurance Commission and Insurance Working Group. He was Chairman of the drafting committee for the UNEP FI “Principles for Sustainable Insurance”, successfully launched in 2012. His insurance industry experience also includes stints in the US, ltaly, Malta, UAE and Switzerland in various roles of responsibility such as Risk Manager, Director of Global Programs, Product Development Manager for Continental Europe and Asia, Country Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager and Client Relationship Manager.
Mickey Brown, CPCU, ARM, is a senior vice president at Marsh USA Inc. in Atlanta, Ga. He has more than 25 years’ experience in international finance, mergers and acquisitions, risk management and commercial insurance brokerage. Brown is a graduate of Loyola College in Baltimore, MD. He is also a past Chair of the CPCU Society's International Interest Group Committee.
Abi Potter Clough
Abi Potter Clough is a Senior Business Procedures Consultant for MetLife, currently working in vendor and project management. She earned her CPCU in 2013 and her MBA in International Business in 2012. Clough is in her second year as a Chapter Governor and is also the Webinar Magician for 3iG, the International Insurance Interest Group. She is a member of the 2016 Annual Meeting Task Force and the International Ambassador Committee. In addition to her CPCU and MBA, Clough holds the API, AIC-M, AIM, AIS, and AINS designations.
Amy Trione is an Underwriting Manager and Claims Liaison at NAGICO Insurances. Her primary duties include creating, maintaining and updating policy language for all lines, streamlining processes and procedures for the Underwriting and Claims Departments, catastrophe preparation and response, and training and consulting on all complex and legal claims. Ms. Trione has more than 18 years of insurance industry experience, specializing in complex claims, technical training, processes and procedures, project management and risk management. She has served the CPCU Society as a Chapter President, Regional Governor, Governor Leader and Interest Group Vice Chair, among other roles. In addition to CPCU, Ms. Trione possesses a Masters of Higher Education (M.Ed.), an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and several insurance licenses.
Orlene Arriola is the President of AXS Insurance, a woman-owned Brokerage firm based on Guam. Orlene is the first woman resident of Guam to achieve the designation of CPCU. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from the University of California San Diego Revelle College. As a licensed broker and a surplus lines broker, her areas of expertise are construction, professional liability, medical malpractice, and nonstandard lines. She has over 12 years’ experience in the Guam and Micronesia Region Insurance Market and also holds the designations of AINS and CRIS (Construction Risk Insurance Specialist). In 2015, Orlene was awarded the 2015 CPCU Society International Ambassador Award. Competing with over 30 international CPCUs globally for the coveted award, Orlene is the first woman CPCU Society International Ambassador. As an active member of the CPCU International Insurance Interest Group, Orlene mentors and trains other aspiring insurance industry professionals on Guam. She resides on Guam with her husband Frank and their five children.
Jim Jones is the Executive Director of the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services at Illinois State University. The Katie School supports 450 students majoring in either risk management and insurance (RMI) or actuarial science. Jim works with the Dean of the College of Business (COB), industry executives, chairs of departments across the university, faculty from multiple disciplines across campus, including business faculty in risk management and insurance, marketing, sales, and management, and faculty in actuarial science, statistics, and economics. Jim undertakes and facilitates research on industry issues including employment trends and skills needed to succeed in the risk management and financial services industry, and technical research on issues such as the causes of workers compensation insurer insolvencies. His main area of research is on the development of microinsurance and index insurance for farmers in Africa. He has published several articles in this field including the development of drought index triggers, the drivers of demand for insurance, and influence of insurance on the willingness of microfinance institutions to loan money to farmers in Africa. Jim works directly with students in developing and facilitating undergraduate research projects including topics including: The Use of Drones in Insurance, Autonomous Vehicles, Health Insurance, Flood Insurance for Urban Areas, Pet Insurance Market Development, The Factors Affecting Customer Retention, Underwriting Risks Using Remote Sensing, The Use of Social Media by Agents, and the Impact of Fossil Fuel Prices on Automobile Claims. Jim works with students and developed an insurance industry certificate Leadership and Business Acumen. He helps develop and facilitates insurance industry career awareness programs for high school and community college students including two, week-long summer programs, the Redbird Risk Management Challenge, and Minority High School Scholars Academy. Jim has written and edited textbooks for the Institutes AIC program on Workers Compensation, Liability Claims Practices, and the Management of Bodily Injury Claims. Jim has been an executive coach for financial services executives from numerous companies in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia/Pacific. Jim does presentations for both academics and industry and has presented various insurance topics for audiences around the world. He has presented on leadership and ethics to over 4000 people in the past ten years. Jim has served as an expert witness on dozens of court cases around the United States including a multi-million dollar case in federal court in New York City in 2015. Jim serves in a leadership role at the Griffith Insurance Education Foundation, board member on the Loman Foundation, and chairs the Nominating Committee for the CPCU Society.
Joshua S. Pestano
Joshua S. Pestano, ACII, CPCU, ARe is a reinsurance professional who has been involved in the industry since the year 2008. His roles have included that of account executive, producer and broker. He has ample experience as a reinsurance intermediary, serving markets in Latin America and the Caribbean placing property, casualty, surety and aviation (re)insurance risks with (re)insurers in The United States and The United Kingdom. Joshua acquired several insurance industry designations such as Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from The Institutes (Malvern, PA) and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) from The Chartered Insurance Institute (London, United Kingdom). He is also an active volunteer in insurance industry associations including the International Insurance Interest Group (3IG) of the CPCU Society which he joined in September 2014.
