Batteries, Batteries Everywhere...Why the Fires?

Thursday, March 23, 2017  2:00 pm Eastern

What it’s about:

Lithium ion batteries are all over the news for creating fires and causing injuries. Understanding exactly what causes these fires can be very complex and involves a battery system, not just a battery. This webinar will discuss how lithium ion batteries are similar to the lead acid batteries in our cars and how they differ. Once we understand what a lithium ion battery is, we will discuss what causes it to catch fire.

At the conclusion of this webinar, the active participant will understand:

  • How lithium ion batteries work
  • The lithium ion battery system
  • How these batteries can catch fire

What it’s about:

Those involved with losses caused by battery fires, those involved with fire investigations, and those who want to better understand battery-related losses will benefit from this webinar.
