Granton Clem

As assistant vice president for Gallagher Re North America, Granton Clem is responsible for assisting in production and servicing of property-casualty reinsurance. He was hired into the Graduate Development Program in 2016, a global program in which he rotated through three teams across Willis Towers Watson over two years. Through this program, Clem completed corporate training in New York City, Mumbai, and London.

 

Gina Ross Dean 

Vice President, Casualty Treaty Underwriter

As vice president and casualty treaty underwriter at Munich Re US, Gina Ross Dean is responsible for underwriting and pricing a portfolio of casualty lines treaty business for United States clients. She began her reinsurance career in the International Graduate Trainee Program at Munich Re, a two-year rotational program with participants from across the global organization that combines primary insurance and reinsurance underwriting training and development.

Ross Dean serves on the board of U.S. Reinsurance Under 40s and is a member of the Association of Professional Insurance Women.

 
 

Andrea Garcia 

Second Vice President, Global Casualty Senior Underwriter VP and Branch Manager

Andrea Garcia has worked as second vice president–global casualty facultative senior underwriting specialist with Gen Re for the past eight years. Previously, she held a position as a sales agent and insurance service professional for The Hanover Insurance Group. In 2021, Garcia served as president of the Atlanta CPCU Society Chapter, Inc.

 

Valerie Xu

Valerie Xu graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in May 2021 with a joint business and cinematic arts degree and a risk management minor. After graduation, she joined Swiss Re's Strategic Partnerships team within the P&C Solutions division, helping to unlock new opportunities and access to new risk pools via alternative distribution. Xu has experience working as a broker assistant in the wholesale property-casualty insurance space and as a student program manager for USC’s Risk Management Program. She is especially interested in alternative risk solutions and exploring innovation opportunities in the insurance space.
